Wilkes-Barre resident Shivaun O’Donnell was born in New Jersey, lived in Ireland and California before landing in Wilkes-Barre to study English and Communications at King’s College. She never left.

Having written press releases, newsletters and company publications throughout her career, she currently puts pen to paper electronically in her blog “Shooting the Shiv,” in which she chronicles, among other things, the adventure of being married to Attorney Christopher O’Donnell.

After a great career that included radio, information technology and management, Shivaun is reinventing herself again, this time in pursuit of a long-time dream of helping other diabetics as a certified diabetes educator. She will complete her  studies May 2014.
